Part I — Death of the Wolf
Adolf Hitler was shot and killed during the Battle of Ypres in 1914, and the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei did not rise in popularity as much as it did in OTL. The Weimar Republic continued.
Part II — A Failed Revolution
Bolsheviks, attempting to recreate the Soviet Republic of Bavaria tried once again in 1932, beginning with the assassination of President Hindenburg. In 1934 the Reichswehr staged a coup and installed a Military Junta until 1937, when the Commander-in-Chief reinstalled the democracy. Feelings of distrust toward Communism led to an ideology of Capitalism. The time between 1934 and 1937 wasn’t easy, however — the Great Depression, the Pacific War, the Italian conquest of Ethiopia, the remilitarisation of the Rhineland, all pushed Europe closer to chaos. However, no war broke out (in Europe, anyway).
Part III — War in the Pacific
Japan’s war against China and their allies, including the USSR, and against the United States, did not go well for Japan. Hiroshima and Kyoto were hit by atomic bombs from the United States. A puppet government was installed by the US at the end of the war, whilst the Democratic Republic of Korea was created by China and the Republic of Korea by the US.
Part IV — The Cold War
After the show of strength from both sides in the Pacific War, a Cold War between the United States, China and the USSR broke out. It continues today.
